HUE TO HOI AN VIA DMZ AND HO CHI MINH TRAIL – 3 DAYS MOTORBIKE TOUR

Day 1: Hue Motorbike Adventure Tour to Khe Sanh via DMZ

We pick you from Hue and ride along countryside and riverbank route to Quang Tri town. First we stop at Ben Hai River (known as 17th Parallel and also the border line between North and South Vietnam during the American war), and Hien Luong Bridge (a symbol of division, expectations and the pain of loss, a historic witness of Vietnam’s tragic but ultimately victorious past). Next we ride along the coatal line to see Cua Tung Queen Beach and then explore the Vinh Moc tunnels and the Demilitarised Zone, stopping for lunch as well. Continue on Highway 9. On the way we will stop for taking pictures of the Rockpile and visiting some ethnic minority villages that live along Ho Chi Minh Trail. Around 5pm we arrive in Khe Sanh which was established as a forward base by General Westmoreland near Laos to secure highway 9. Checking into hotel and you have free time to explore the area.

Day 2: Khe Sanh Motorbike Adventure Tour to Prao

After breakfast at a local restaurant we will visit Khe Sanh combat base (Ta Con Airport). Then we head out across the famous Dakrong bridge on the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Then we ride about 110 km to Aluoi, during this time we cross one of the longest and most stunning passes in Vietnam while travelling on a new and quiet road, through amazing scenery of primitive forests in the imposing Truong son mountain range. We stop for lunch in Aluoi town, then in the afternoon we travel on to Prao and for this 100km you will be surprised with the jungle, mountains, waterfalls and the quietness, peace and amazing views. We will spend the night in Prao town.

Day 3: Prao Motorbike Adventure Tour to Hoi An

Option 1: We continue on Ho Chi Minh Trail to Thanh My village. We cross the river by local boat and then ride along the countryside to My Son holly land – a World Heritage site for many pictures. And after here we will stop at the village to see local people make Rice Cracker, enjoy some delicious foods before leaving. Then we continue on to Hoi An and tour ended here.

Option 2: After breakfast we ride down the mountain through the village, then we walk and visit an ethnic village. Continue on the road we will see tea farm. When we ride to Da Nang, we will go up over on top Hai Van pass, then get back to Marble mountain where you can visit caves and temples. After that we going to Hoi An.

Note:

If you travel from South to North we also can do the trip from Hoi An to Hue as well.
You can either ride by yourself or sit on the back with one of our experienced drivers.
